Castle shortlisted for three Insider South East Dealmakers Awards

Castle is delighted to be nominated for three awards at the prestigious and hotly contested annual South East Dealmakers Awards.

It has been revealed that Castle has been shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Corporate Finance Advisory Firm of the Year
  • Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year (Stuart Stepney)
  • Emerging Dealmaker of the Year (Catherine Lambeth)

The awards recognise the best of the Finance and advisory firms in the region, with all the finalists selected by a panel of independent experts.

Castle’s Managing Director, Stuart Stepney, comments: “We are very proud to have made the finals once more. I would like to congratulate the team for their hard work over 2018, and wish the other shortlisted contestants all the very best of luck.”

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Copthorne Hotel on 7 February 2019.

What is NOT a qualifying trade?
A company can be assumed to undertake a qualifying trade, unless it is involved in a non-qualifying trade. Examples of non-qualifying trades are:
  • dealing in land, shares or financial instruments;
  • providing finance or insurance;
  • leasing or receiving royalties or licence fees;
  • legal or accountancy services;
  • certain property-based trades such as property development, farming, market gardening, hotel management and operating or managing nursing homes or residential care homes;
  • the generation or export of electricity or the generation of heat or any other form of energy; producing gas or fuel.
